Game Show Application

From the game show applications I have filled in, I have noticed a few similarities and differences. The 3 that i have filled out are: Countdown, Ninja warrior and The Cube.

All of these game shows ask for the basic information, such as your full name, the preferred name on the show, the date of birth and the basic information about yourself; this is useful because it allows the producers to know about the person and their preferences. From other research, majority of the applications ask if you have previously applied for game shows and the certain hobbies. I think that the applications are all similar because the game shows all have basics requirements. I feel that the reasoning for the majority of applications asking for job statuses, is because they only accept people when they are on a certain income, this is where the demographics comes in to it, I think that they don't allow the lower class people to enter the game shows which I think is wrong because it discriminates the social class type, I also think that psychographics has as big part as to getting accepted on to the show, in the cube application, it asks for 3 words to describe yourself, i think that they think about the personality etc while they decide whether to accept you or not.

One of the differences I found was that with the countdown application was that there was an optional box for stating their children's names and ages, I think this is because they may want to know about the academics within the family etc, the cube was also the one that asked for past qualifications, this is mainly because Countdown is an academic show where you need to be fairly smart and quick minded, this also comes in to the psychogaphics and demographics category of personality, attitudes and social class, because most people assume that the lower class aren't smart and academic so they won't usually accept them in to the show as a result of this.
